Do
I need any exercise equipment or the use of a gym to participate
in your programs? |
 |
No.
All our programs are designed to be used in the home or
garden with no use of special equipment, minimum cost
with no expensive gym fees or equipment to buy, maximum
efficiency. All you need is yourself. |
|
 |
Why
do your programs include exercise, diet and relaxation
routines? I just want to lose weight. |
 |
It
is an accepted fact that exercise or diets taken in isolation
are much less effective and less permanent than a sensible
blend of exercise, diet and we like to include a relaxation
routine to give an overall complete program. The aim of
the Feel Good Team is to give you an all round long-term
better and healthier lifestyle, both in body and mind. |

 |
How
do you know when it’s safe to continue a program after
you have had flu or a cold? |
 |
The
intensity of your exercise program and your general health
before the infection are important factors to consider.
Someone in excellent health may be able to resume sooner
than someone in poorer condition or health.
Older people may take longer to recover than younger people.
If the infection is brief or mild, resuming exercise in a few days is probably safe. If the infection is more severe, such as fever, severe fatigue, coughing, wheezing or other respiratory symptoms, a longer recovery, perhaps one or two weeks might be best and advice from your doctor should be sought.
The
best plan is probably to let your symptoms and body
be your guide. When you feel back to normal return to
your program at a lower intensity and build up gradually.
After an illness we recommend you get the OK from your doctor. |
|
 |
Do you have any rapid weight loss diets? |
 |
All
our programs are designed for long term permanent weight
loss, not a quick fix. It is a well proven statistic that
the majority of people who go for a quick fix diet soon
put the weight back on and often more. Some of our Target
Training programs will show a weight loss over 3 to 4
weeks but this is followed up with a long-term solution.
As stated in the second question/answer, the aim of the
Feel Good Team is to give you an all round long-term better
and healthier lifestyle. |
|
 |
When is the best time do the exercise routine? |
 |
There
is no one time that is better than another time. We appreciate
that you have busy schedules so our programs are geared
around you. Fit it in when it is convenient to you, but
try not to miss a session. It is more beneficial if you
can get into a set daily routine, but don’t worry if the
time of day you do the routine varies, as long as you
do the routine. Some members prefer first thing in the
morning to charge them up for the day, some prefer when
they return home from work and some in the evening. Do
not exercise within an hour after having a meal, two hours
if it is a big meal. Do not exercise after drinking alcohol.

|
 |
I am sixty-five years of age, have I missed the boat by being too old? |
 |
Certainly
not. You are never too old but naturally you will have
to start on a lower level of intensity. The Golden Years
or even the Couch Slouch (don’t be insulted by the name,
it is a good starter program) could be ideal. Exercise,
a good diet and relaxation are recommended for the elderly
to give a better and prolonged quality of life, slow down
ageing and increase mental ability. If you have any medical
problems simply check with your doctor, we are sure his
advice will be positive. |
|
 |
Are
your programs equally suited to both sexes? |
 |
Yes.
The programs are designed so that you can set your own
level of intensity and we recommend that you constantly
review your fitness level so that you keep improving.
Like all exercise routines, the more you put into it the
more you get out of it All the exercises can be worked
by both men and women, the intensity is up to you. |
